Spring has Sprung
September has been a big month for events and planning for the first Check Me Out event on October 8th.
This month we’ve hosted a huge variety of events and welcomed exciting new additions to the MotHs Hub. We’ve also been busily planning for the first Check Me Out event. Here is a rundown of what’s happened and what to look forward to in October.
Thank you Early Settler
Away from public eyes, the MotHs private group had become completely besotted with a gorgeous couch from Early Settler Furniture. Velvet green and embroidered with a moth in the centre back, the group united around the dream of somehow having this couch in our MotHs Hub.
So with nothing to lose, I reached out to Early Settler. To be fair, many members did, commenting and pleading on Early Settler social media ads to see the connection. The response was nothing short of phenomenal.
The couch is sold out until January unfortunately but unbeknownst to me there was an equally gorgeous 2-seater stool in dark blue velvet, complete with the embroidered moth. If you look closely, the moth looks like a female with a hooded coat and scarf on - a true mum of the hills. It's perfect!
We were so grateful for this but Early Settler's generosity continued with the donation of an outdoor couch (the Byron...hmmm very swish, very la di da). I feel our outdoor covered area is now complete and can see so many long chats over tea from Koru Pantry here on this couch.
What Early Settler have done for us goes beyond the material goods. They've helped to make this area feel truly special to us. Along with our stunning meeting table and bench from Dark Horse Timber Co. the MotHs Hub is a warm and welcoming space for mums and their families. These are legacy pieces that will serve families for many many years to come.
Thank you Early Settler and all the businesses who have contributed to our MotHs Hub. Many more events are coming up including pilates with Prue starting on Monday, October 9th. Visit our events page on our website to book and learn more.
Thank you Rotary Club of Emerald & District and Invisible Shield Security.
The support for the new MotHs Hub keeps coming. We are so grateful to the Rotary Club of Emerald & District for sponsoring our new 'Yo alarm system. It's loud, it's fancy but most importantly it gives us that extra peace of mind. Thank you Rotaryu Beaut’ Club of Emerald & District for making us feel safe. A generous donation from a top club.
A big thanks also to Luis from Invisible Shield Security who looked after us throughout the whole process. Friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with.

Upcoming Events in October
We have so many events coming up in October. Come to some or come to all. There are plenty of opportunities to meet others, find out information or learn new skills.
Upcoming Voice to Parliament Referendum
The Voice to Parliament Referendum is coming up on October 14th. Voters will be asked to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ on a single question. The question on the ballot paper will be: “A Proposed Law: to alter the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice. Do you approve this proposed alteration?”
To reduce miscommunication and to help people make an informed vote we have compiled information and links to resources from official sources here.
