Have teenagers and want to ensure they are safe online?

The early teenage years are a time when most young Australians get their first taste of digital independence with access to a personal device and join social networks.
Connecting online, especially with friends, can be fun but it’s important to know how to be safe whilst doing so. To stay safe we must consider where we are online, who can see us in the different spaces we go online, think carefully about the types of information we share and make sure we know how to protect ourselves from cyber risk
The aim of this workshop is to facilitate a timely conversation about digital safety and wellbeing. It is designed to arm parents and teens with the tools, strategies and resources to thrive and stay safe in a hyper connected digital world.
Through participating in this cyber security workshop, you will learn:
about the cyber threats that we are seeing in 2024
why cyber risk is not going away
and most importantly some of the actions that you can take to mitigate the risks.
